OUR PURPOSE
In the last several years, we have had the privilege of working outdoors with people and friends in the central Illinois Area. As Jeremy, owner of J. Jacobs Inc, I realize that all that we possess and see is not ours, but God’s. I am thankful that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to set the example, and we should follow Him. Each day I seek to strive for the likeness of Christ, by His Grace. Whether we are laboring for the customer or pulling weeds in our garden at home, we are to do all ‘as unto the Lord’.
My desire is this; that all our earthly labors can be a glory to God, and bring others to Salvation through Jesus Christ. It really won’t matter how big the portfolio, or how many dollars in the bank account . . . I hope that Our Lord and Heaven is the motivation for Our Purpose.
THROUGH THE YEARS
OUR HISTORY
The first J. Jacobs truck hit the road in the Fall of 2009. Jeremy Knecht, with the support of his wife Kalsey, started the venture seeking to provide mowing, pruning, and landscape lighting services. To help get the business off of the ground, commercial accounts were purchased from a local landscape firm. A local building was rented for equipment, and the Knecht’s home was used as the J. Jacobs Office.

In the Spring of 2010, Lawn Care Treatments were added to the list of services. This helped establish new customers and relationships which developed into new work and opportunities. Several residential customers were added to the list of accounts and Jeremy hired some help.​

As of current, we are incredibly thankful to provide various services to a strong customer base, made possible by a hardworking team of individuals. We are grateful for the success J. Jacobs continues to have, and the opportunities we have to enhance the yards and lives of others.
